Saint Patrick's Day at Brocach's

What is better than spending Saint Patrick's day eating traditional Irish food and spending time with friends? Well, nothing is better than that! We had a wonderful time at Brocach's on Monroe Street where students got to try Black & Tan's, corned beef & cabbage, fish & chips, as well as good old-fashioned Wisconsin cheese curds!

Mustard Museum!

We had a great time with students at the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, WI on Saturday, March 14. Students learned how mustard is grown and harvested, how many varieties of mustard are made in the world, and they also got to taste several different types of mustard in the gift shop. Afterwards, we shared some sweet treats from Bloom Bakeshop and spent some time in the sunshine learning about one another's home country.

TASC Online Volunteer Event

Our volunteers from TASC ONLINE had a great time speaking with our students yesterday! Volunteers and students alike were able to discuss their differences in culture, stereotypes, geography and the day to day events that make up life abroad. We are so grateful TASC was able to join us, and we look forward to having them again in the future!

Orientation

Thursday, March 5th, 2015, marked the beginning of a new session at MESLS.  Once again, new students came from across the globe to attend classes at MESLS.  Welcome, welcome!  We are so excited to have them here.

Friday, March 6th, 2015, MESLS held a book sale where new students had the opportunity to meet and buy books directly from returning students.
After the book sale, Jean-Rene from the Christ Presbyterian Church came to explain CPC's international outreach program. Students were happy to receive such a warm welcome from the community and learn about all the interesting cultural activities on the horizon.
