Saturday, June 28th, Madison celebrated Independence Day with fireworks synchronized to music.  Students loved Rhythm and Booms!

Warm Welcome to Our New Students!

Thursday, June 26th MESLS welcomed a new cohort.  After a long day of placement testing and orientation, students went downtown to buy books and enjoy an afternoon at the Memorial Union Terrace.

MESLS friendship

MESLS friendship lasts a lifetime.  On Monday, June 23 students really didn't want to say goodbye.  They waited at their airport with their friends until each one's flight left.

Potluck Party

On Friday, June 20th, another session came to an end. To celebrate, each student brought a dish to share. This was perhaps our most diverse potluck ever!

See You Soon!

At MESLS, we don't say "goodbye" --we say, "see you soon!"  Many students graduated this session and are returning to their home countries. However, there are already plans in place to meet up abroad.

The Fault in Our Stars

Tuesday, June 17th, MESLS students and teachers went to Sundance Theaters for a showing of "The Fault in Our Stars" after reading the novel in class. What a sad, beautiful story!

Monday, June 16: After class, students watched the USA vs. Ghana soccer game together. We are very happy that the US won!

Wednesday, June 11: Are you ready for the World Cup? MESLS students and staff played soccer the evening before the Opening Ceremony.

Birthday party, games and barbeque dinner

Friday June 6: MESLS celebrated our director Poom's birthday, played card games after class and enjoyed an American barbeque dinner. What a great start to the weekend!
